  • Griffith Observatory

    Free admission to the building, grounds and public telescopes. Open Tuesday to Friday noon to 10 p.m. and weekends 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., closed Monday. 2800 East Observatory Road, Los Angeles, CA 90027.

  • The Greek Theatre

    The City-owned outdoor theatre in Griffith Park with a capacity of 5,900. The concert season generally runs April through October. 2700 N. Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90027.

  • Fern Dell

    A shady, winding trail with more than 50 fern species near Griffith Park's Western Canyon entrance, and a trailhead for the walk up to the Observatory. 2333 Fern Dell, Los Angeles, CA 90027.

  • Mount Hollywood Trail

    This trail climbs from the Observatory parking lot to the summit of Mount Hollywood, the park's highest peak. It is part of a 53-mile network that closes at dusk. Trailhead at 2800 East Observatory Road, Los Angeles, CA 90027.

  • Bird Sanctuary

    This is one of Griffith Park's special gardens, and it sits in Vermont Canyon just past the Greek Theatre. 2900 North Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90027.

  • Barnsdall Art Park

    A hilltop City park open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., with free but limited parking at the top and bottom of the hill. 4800 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90027.

  • Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery

  • Griffith Park and Southern Railroad
